The Independent Support Service provided by Swindon Advocacy Movement has run successfully after almost four years. We have worked with hundreds of children, young people and their parents/carers and we have enjoyed every minute.
Unfortunately the funding for Independent Support ends soon and so the service will cease on the 31st July 2018. Here are a few suggestions for other sources of help:
SAM has a number of services that may be able to work with you; we currently have a new advocacy service supporting children who are missing their education due to anxiety or mental health.
SENDIASS is an impartial service providing information and advice around SEND for parents, carers, young people and children.
Swindon SEND Families Voice are a group of volunteer parents and carers working together to improve services for children and young adults with disabilities and additional needs in Swindon.
Swindon Carers Centre have a team of professionals and trained volunteers who provide a wide range of support and services for carers.
